So many things happen at a night market on any given night; business is conducted and empires are born, children run around or play with Pokemon (or whatever’s the latest thing now) cards in corners, couples guangjie amid bustling crowds, vendors of all sorts loudly announce new deals and ask customers to stop and look, shoppers examine wares with one hand while devouring food with the other, still daring to ask for a better price.
September is still summery at night – warm enough to wear shorts, order cold drinks, and still feel the heat coming off the crowds and stoves, griddles, and pots of boiling water.
There are so many different night markets, each with their distinctive flavor. I haven’t gotten tired of exploring yet!
